These donations help further education, advance innovation, and allow cardiovascular experts to provide exceptional care at Saint Luke’s Mid America Heart Institute. Thanks in part to your continued support, our 200 specialists and cardiovascular experts deliver the most advanced heart care during more than 250,000 patient visits each year.

Transforming Patient Care: Cardiovascular Hybrid Operating Room
By combining advanced imaging technology with surgical capabilities in a single space, this innovative environment allows physicians to perform both minimally invasive and open procedures without moving patients between locations. The benefits are measured not only in efficiency, but also in lives saved.
Impact in action
The hybrid operating room served as the setting for a complex, high-risk delivery in which a baby was safely delivered while a multidisciplinary team simultaneously provided lifesaving cardiac and surgical care for the mother.
Advancing Women’s Heart Health Research
Support from Gala donors helps sustain clinical scholars who are leading and contributing to multiple cardiovascular studies aimed at better understanding and treating conditions that disproportionately affect women.
Funding also helped launch a registry for women with a history of preeclampsia, creating new opportunities for long-term monitoring, earlier intervention, and improved cardiovascular outcomes.
